      I’m still having to remember to use them consistently too! Creating content definitely helps as a reminder 😜

    Such an interesting situation! I really like the graduation dress which could easily be hemmed.
    I laughed at the “church lady dress” comment because we have a very stylish vicar, and the trainee vicar has spiky blonde hair and tattoos. Both are female. They definitely don’t fit the stereotype, but I knew exactly what you meant.

    Keep the black dress! It's very versatile and it looks amazing on you. Yeah, maybe make it shorter.

    keep the maybes! the sheer top with the dress, boots, and jacket sounds super cute and all three of your style words!

    The black trousers look great on you! The 2nd pair seem like they'd be great to dress up casual looks. I'd give them a try with your wardrobe at home. The black dress that you wore int middle school (!!!) is fantastic. Easy enough to shorten it to the length you prefer now.

    I think that you should take a careful look at the 2nd trousers. I thought that they bunched a little weirdly when you moved, so not sure if they're the best of fits (I felt like it looked like there was too much fabric in the crotch).
    I really liked the shiny shirt with the graduation dress more than I thought I would when you described it. It reminded me very much of my teenage years (90s), so it might be that I'm reacting to the nostalgia, but I quite liked it.

    Love the waist details on the first pants and they look really good on you. Keepers for sure! You and coffee…Highlights of my Sunday afternoon! 😊

    I like the black pants, burgundy top, black dress, and sheer black top for an alternate look with the dress.

    I like the black trousers and the gray ones too. If you need a LBD I would keep the black one and hem it but if you have one you prefer I would let it go. I'm not a fan of the sparkly top or the burgundy one (love the color, just not the off the shoulder part). When I moved out I cleared out absolutely everything so I would not be able to do this exercise, but I also definitely couldn't fit into my HS clothes, let alone middle school! Maybe a few from college but things have shifted a lot, even if the sizes are the same.

    Yes to the black pants and dress! You also look great in burgundy. Not sure if the sparkles are your vibe.

      Haha yeah I’m not sure about the sparkles either!

    I moved my clothes slowly out of my parents after a number of years living abroad. In the end, I gave away almost everything (with only a few regretful declutters) as my style preferences changed and/or what was in fashion changed.
    The khaki dress/top is cute especially with the black trousers! Agree with what someone else said - if it’s not a hell yes it’s a no.

    I like the black blazer and black trousers. I didn't love the gray trousers. I don't love any of the dresses either. My favorite piece was the burgundy top!

    What a fun video! The black slacks are excellent! And I think the black dress with the mesh top underneath is sooo cute! Also when I first saw the dress on you I definitely also pictured it with a leather jacket. Also I don’t know if you own comfortable heels (I know comfortable is one of your style words) but that dress would look gorgeous with heels because your ankles already look amazing in it. Heels would amp up the effect! 🩵🩵🩵

    I like both of the long pants on you. Could you have the length of the middle school graduation dress altered?

    Haha. When I had to clean out my mothers house I was looking at stuff from the 1970s onward! A lot of it went to thrift resellers because never going to fit.
    But lots of my current good workwear is almost 20 years old, good Banana Republic lined wool pants and blazers. Irreplaceable.

    Give the maybes some practice trial wears and then you'll know for sure.

    You could alter the dress's hem length, or you could also just decide that it's okay to keep a piece for nostalgia value. Your uncle made it special for you, and I don't think there's anything wrong with having one or two things that are there for the love and the memories instead of trying to talk yourself into wearing it so it'll be ~functional and then turning it into an object of guilt. I get why people want to be ruthless about editing and decluttering, but an exception now and then isn't going to be the end of the world or your storage space.
    It's interesting, I thought the orange shorts looked really good on you in an objective, impersonal way, but it was also so evident that they're not your personality. It was a little like seeing an alternate universe version of you.

    • @stylerefinement
      @stylerefinement  4 дня назад

      Haha I like the “alternate reality” analogy!

    I’m a strong no on the dress and sparkly top and a yes on the grey pants.

  • @Jennie8684

    I don’t think you should keep the more casual, slimmer leg trousers. They’re OK, but the low rise really shortens your lower half.

  • @sigriddjernaes
    @sigriddjernaes 4 дня назад +3

    I would only keep the yes'es and none of the maybes. You've got other clothes that you probably would prefer to wear. If it's not a hell yes it's a no.

  • @loganmomable
    @loganmomable 4 дня назад +1

    imo low rise pant doesn’t fit well in the crotch area and are a no. Keep that black dress very versatile you can easily change the length I would say keep the cropped black top but I like it better with your jeans versus with the dress.

    You look amazing in flowy, delicate, feminene pieces. It fits perfectly the way you speak, you move, your delicacy and your petite frame. It is kind of bad that you like masculine looks. It is a missed opportunity to my eyes

    I actually loved the blazer! I don 't think the grey trousers do you any favours, and you have a gorgeous body, so I would pass. First dress is just wrong 😂.
